Research Study on
Dizziness
and Imbalance

Research laboratories at UCLA Medical Center are conducting research to develop new tests to evaluate the causes of dizziness and imbalance. These include special balance, eye movement, and vision tests. The tests are not a form of treatment, but are designed to improve medical knowledge of conditions that cause dizziness and imbalance.

The research typically involves one to three test sessions lasting about one hour each for most subjects. The test sessions may be scheduled over a period of several months.

Certain patients suffering from dizziness and imbalance may be eligible to participate in this research at no cost to them. This research is conducted by Dr. Joseph L. Demer, M.D., Ph.D., and Dr. Jun-ru Tian, M.D., Ph.D. For information, please call the research coordinator at:
